Meditation Q&A is a system of meditation that not only quiets your mind and body, but it re-connects you with the Universe, God, All Knowing, or whatever name you choose. It’s the spiritual part of who we are. That part of us that knows, but we’re usually so caught up with our day-to-day lives and the drama of it all, we don’t hear the intuition, the deeper knowing, the answers we seek. We have answers, but mind chatter drowns out the good advice, solutions and answers we have … waiting for our discovery. It’s easier then you think. Honest!
Most meditation ends with simple relaxation, which is great, but Meditation Q&A takes you to the next step. While you’re in this beautiful state, you can learn more about yourself, your beliefs, your best advice, answers to your questions in a way that is unique to this type of meditation.
Many people use a therapist, a minister, priest or other adviser, counselor or some kind of “expert”. I believe that we can use our connection to this inner part of ourselves (our God connection) to get the answers we seek. Since we are that which God is, we are God … manifested as ourselves; so it’s perfectly appropriate to ask ourselves, but if we’re not in the connected state, we’re merely engaging in mind chatter, which is not what I’m suggesting.
Here’s an example of how a Meditation Q&A session can go:
This is a very simplified abbreviated version of the process. The complete process of the 10 steps are in the book.
First, close your eyes enough to relax, but slightly opened enough to continue to read this. Say this, “I quiet my mind …. I let go of the past … I let go of the future … I focus on now. Breathe. Relax. Let go … let go … let go even more. Breathe. I feel the chair I’m sitting in … I feel the air on my face. I hear sounds, I smell and taste things. I see some darkness and text on this page. I am in the moment. I am in the NOW. I stay in this state and feel the connection to that inner part of myself. That part that has answers.”
I ask … (as an example) …
Am I a loser?
If someone who is poor looks at me, they may say NO.
if someone who is rich looks at me, they may say YES.
pause … breathe
What’s the measurement? Who’s measurement is it? Theirs? Mine? Is it money? Maybe. That’s interesting. What about other measurements? Like what? Health, happiness, friends, talents, confidence, family, prosperity, relationships, travels, possessions, education, abilities, and on and on. There are a lot of measurements I can look at. Would the answers be the same? Yes. A person who is healthier would look at me and say (from a health standpoint) YES I’m a loser. A sick person would say NO. A thinner person could say I was fat. A fatter person could say I was thin. And so on.
The first question (Am I a loser?) is a judgment.
The truth is, I’m a good person. If I leave in the word good, I’m adding another judgment. So, the real truth is (and it’s the same for everyone): I’m a person who is at one with the Universe (like ice in a swimming pool … all molecules, made of the same stuff) and expressing myself as I am. I’m doing my best and learning along the say. So is everyone else.
Can I do better? Yes. How? Let go of all past and future thinking, let go of worry, let go of hurt feelings, forgive, stay grateful, continue to stay in the now at least 80% of the time and continue to grow, learn, expand and express who I am. Just do my best and accept the ongoing success that the Universe is constantly pressing it’s way into my life. Remember, life is FOR me, not against me. It’s like a tree growing between two rocks without soil. Somehow it succeeds, in spite of obvious set-backs.
—- end of example
As you can tell, it’s a process that can go on and on, as long as you have time. It’s fun. It’s a discovery process that will help you learn about your beliefs. You’re operating like a scientist and making a few lots of your discoveries along the way. Learning, capturing, growing and asking more and more. It’s fun and helps you get answers to anything.

What is meditation? Here are the basic definitions:
1. Meditation is a discourse intended to express its author’s reflections or to guide others in contemplation.
2. Meditation is a practice of concentrated focus upon a sound, object, visualization, the breath, movement, or attention itself in order to increase awareness of the present moment, reduce stress, promote relaxation, and enhance personal and spiritual growth.
3. Meditation is continuous and profound contemplation or musing on a subject or series of subjects of a deep or abstruse nature; “the habit of meditation is the basis for all real knowledge”.
Many studies that show how much regular meditation can reduce stress, lower blood pressure, reduce anxiety, calm the mind, create better focus, and recharge the mind and body.
Meditation isn’t complicated, and it’s easy to learn. Here are 10 simple steps that make it an easy process.
1-Close your eyes
2-Breathe
3-Let go of the past
4-Let go of the future
5-Focus on the here
6-Focus on the now
7-Everything is Intelligence
8-Everything is the same stuff
9-Everything is connected
10-Stay quiet, ask, listen, write.
This style of meditation is what the book, Meditation Q&A is rooted in. It involves using a pencil and paper, which is not normally associated with most meditation types. Step 10 is the unique key in this style of meditation and helps answer questions in the mind of the user. It’s a unique approach, to say the least. It allows the user to ask for help making decisions or as a way of delving into deeper layers of knowledge. Remember definition #3 above? Any question can be answered using this style of meditation.
How is this possible? It’s simple. When we’re in a deep state of relaxation and focused on the now, we can easily establish a connection to the universal intelligence. This may sound like a stretch, but it’s not. It’s a frame of mind.
I believe the best teachings are those that turn people back to themselves. This type of meditation definitely does that.
All too often, teachings rely on guidelines established by other people, the church, a teacher or a leader. This seems to be off base, using this approach. Everyone has an equal chance of tapping into the intelligence of life. People can make their own decisions. People can run their lives, using their own intelligence.
Another supportive reason for using this technique is that thought tends to evaporate. Everyone has experienced having a good idea and forgotten it forever. Using a pencil and paper to jot notes can help keep the user on track; so they can move to the next phase and learn more, and more, and more.
Whatever method is used, meditation is a powerful way to relax, focus and recharge. Try it now. It’s fun.
